Developed by fitness pioneers Kirsten Potenza and Cristina Peerenboom, POUND is a full-body jam session that combines cardio, conditioning and core work with the excitement and euphoria of drumming! Using lightly weighted drumsticks called RipstixTM, you’ll rock your entire body into beautiful shape while torching calories, isolating core muscles, and strengthening coordination and balance.
Contains four full-length, 20 minute workout progressions that can stand alone or be combined to create longer, more challenging, more rockin’ workouts! Each 20 minute progression is proceeded by The Opener, a comprehensive warmup that gets your heart, muscles and RipstixTM ready to rock. And, after your workout ends, each progression closes with the POUND Down, your comprehensive cool down designed to stretch the muscle groups used throughout the workout. To guide the way, each of your two discs includes POUND 101, your introduction to POUND, that you can choose to watch to brush up on the POUND lingo, RipstixTM, Four Major Positions, Strike Patterns, Tempos, and how to navigate the workout safely and effectively.
